A Book Review by Lesly!

“The truth is, life hasn’t always been gorgeous for this beacon of positivity and joy,” quoted by Jonathan Van Ness.

Jonathan Van Ness is a queer person living in a small, Midwestern town. Van Ness identifies as he/she/them. The book is about Van Ness’s life. Van Ness is a gymnastics who aspire greatness. Van Ness’s life is spiraling out of control and has to learn to love themselves in the process. This book is discusses real life issues that the author experienced.

I loved this book because it talks about Jonathan’s life. I don’t recommend just anyone to read this book, because I know not a lot of people like queer related books. I enjoyed this book because it had a lot of emotions to process. It talks about addiction, HIV positive life and so much more. For someone like me who wants to continue my education in psychology, this book was helpful. I learned a lot from the author. It is a story about self-love. Such a good book!
