I usually serious mysteries, but occasionally I like a change of pace to combine my love of mystery and my enjoyment of a good laugh. Stephanie Plum fits the bill!

Stephanie Plum is one of the most hilarious mystery heroines. Where most detective heroes use intelligence and skill she uses luck and persistence in her job as a bounty hunter. Her crime solving posse includes her wacky gun toting grandmother, her coworker Lula, a former lady of the night, her on again off again boyfriend Joe Morelli, a policeman, and Ranger, a fellow bounty hunter who is ex-Special Forces and romantically involved with her.

In this installment of the series Stephanie’s mysterious friend Diesel shows up looking for the same “failure to appear” skip that she is chasing. Read along to see what mayhem Stephanie gets into!
